When you smell Beach House White Spiced Rum, its sugarcane and grapefruit notes will have the first say, with hints of menthol and lime making themselves apparent.
When you taste Beach House White Spiced Rum, its pure, crystalline quality will lift and brighten your palate, as lychee, passionfruit, and fresh citrus notes provide an initial burst of flavour. This gives way to a lightly peppered finish, with the soft lychee lingering to the end.
The district of Pamplemousses, meaning “grapefruits”, is in the north of the tiny island of Mauritius. Formed by a volcanic eruption, Mauritius sits in the Indian ocean to the east of Madagascar, its white beaches and turquoise waters fringed by a ring of foam as the sea breaks on the underwater volcanic barrier. Pamplemousses is a haven of sunlight and tranquility – and a hub for tourists seeking their own little taste of heaven.
The taste of the ocean
Beach House White Spiced Rum is a bright, fresh spirit. Its creators’ goal was to encapsulate the spirit of Mauritius, the sunny island haven where it was produced. The home-grown sugarcane provides a base for the local ingredients that make up its gloriously tropical flavour palate. When you drink it, you should almost be able to taste Mauritius itself.
A haven for any gardener
The warm climate and volcanic soil of Mauritius make it a perfect spot to grow many different fruits and vegetables. Sugarcane fields cover over a third of its territory, and elsewhere lychees, mangos, pineapples, coconuts and many other exotic fruits grow. Beach House White Spiced Rum’s flavour palate is built up from these. Lychee, citrus and passionfruit notes sparkle alongside the sugarcane, creating an original tapestry of purely Mauritian flavours.
The Brains Behind It
Capturing heaven in a bottle
Beach House is a local rum producer, working with distilleries based in Pamplemousses. Contrary to most Mauritian rum producers, who create rhum agricole and traditional molasses rum along with their spiced and infused rum, Beach House concentrates solely on its line of spiced rums, using local flavours that evoke Mauritius. The goal? To transport the drinker straight to paradise!More on the Brand
