The West Indies has been producing sugarcane for hundreds of years. Made up of over 7,000 islands and territories stretching from the Florida peninsula of North America down to the northern coast of Venezuela, it is as beautiful as it is diverse. From active volcanoes to limestone islands to palm-fringed white beaches, each land is unique and different, imbued with its own distinct character and charm.
Brazil Epris Brut de Fut is a cask-strength Brazilian rum, weighing in at 53.2% ABV. Aged for eight years in bourbon casks, its powerful and punchy personality is underscored by the smoky wood notes given to it by the ageing process. This rum comes with a kick, and shouldn’t be underestimated.
This rum was distilled and aged in Brazil, then brought over to France for the bottling process. Compagnie des Indes prides itself on the excellence of its rums, and Brazil Epris Brut de Fut went through a rigorous quality checking process before being bottled unfiltered. The distillate thus retains all of its highly unique and individual personality.
Compagnie des Indes was created by Florent Beuchet, a wine expert hailing from Burgundy, France. Realising that the world of rums was every bit as diverse and varied as the world of wines, he set out on a journey of education.
